This is an album featuring photographs of the Godalming coronation festivities for Queen Elizabeth ll on June 2nd, 1953. The floats pictured in the album, took part in a procession listed in the events programme (0838A). With its rocket and astronauts the first float pictured, entitled "DAWN OF A NEW ERA", anticipates the 'Space Race' of the decades following Queen Elizabeth's coronation.
