It is free to visit the museum for independent study during normal opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm (4pm in winter). Please let us know you are coming so we can ensure that you do not clash with another group.

Education sessions either in the museum or in school cost £1.50 per student for a part day and £3 for a full day, with an additional charge for materials and preparation time for some workshops. If we travel to you we charge mileage at 50p per mile beyond a 5 mile radius from the museum. Our minimum charge is £20.

Loan boxes cost £8 for a 2 week loan and need to be collected from and returned to, the museum.

The best days to visit the museum are Mondays when we are closed to the general public and Wednesdays when you can use the Pepperpot, Godalming's historic town hall as a base. The Pepperpot is directly opposite the museum and has recently been refurbished with its own toilet and kitchen. There is restricted access at both sites, with the first floors accessible only by stairs - please discuss your requirements with us.
