Susan Calverley Parker’s landscape paintings are semi-abstract mixed media works which explore how we influence our scenery.

'Barber's Son - Hairdresser's Daughter'
present, North, South East, West

Artist Susie Darnton has chosen her childhood home town of Godalming in which to create an alternative museum. This includes the last slice of bread from Hillyer’s, an empty pill bottle from Duncan’s, a sixpence delivered by the tooth fairy after a tooth was extracted by Mr. Peter Cordell, the telephone from `Margery’s’, a sign from Messenger, May , Baverstock and other ephemera which suggest stories and history. Alongside are paintings that recall the landscape of the locality entwined with stories from children’s books borrowed from `Library Joan’ on Friday evenings.
