In the library can be found:
- Percy Woods collection of deeds and transcripts from 11th – 19th centuries
- Penfold collection – a survey of houses and land in Godalming and the surrounding villages, and in Haslemere, taken in 1863
- Printed and manuscript histories of local places, families and organisations, including histories of Surrey and publications from local societies
- Prints, drawings and portraits
- Maps and plans, including tithe maps and apportionments
- Family and local history sources for research
- Other objects and items can be found on display in the galleries or in the library store
